Free Excel to PDF Converter — Convert Spreadsheets Online in Seconds
Sharing a spreadsheet as a PDF is one of the most common tasks in any office or business workflow. PDFs open consistently on every device, can't be accidentally edited, and look professional when printed or emailed. But without the right tools, converting an Excel file to PDF usually means opening Microsoft Office, adjusting print settings, and hoping the columns don't overflow the page.
The OmniWebKit Excel to PDF Converter takes care of all of that in your browser — no software installation, no account, no file uploads to a server. Your data stays on your device throughout the entire process. Just drop in your Excel (.xlsx or .xls) or CSV file, choose your layout preferences, and click Convert to PDF. The tool handles multi-sheet workbooks, large datasets, and lets you customise the look of the final document.
Whether you're preparing a financial report, sharing a data table with a client, or archiving a spreadsheet in a read-only format, this tool gives you a clean, professional PDF output with consistent formatting across all your data.
What You Can Customise
Most online converters just dump your data into a generic-looking PDF without any options. This tool gives you meaningful control over the output:
Document Title
Set a custom title that appears centred at the top of every page. Leave it blank to use the filename automatically. For multi-sheet workbooks, the sheet name is printed below the title.
Page Orientation
Choose portrait (210 × 297mm for A4) for narrow data tables, or landscape (297 × 210mm) for wide spreadsheets with many columns. Landscape is often better for financial reports with many fields.
Table Style (Theme)
Three styles available: Grid adds visible borders to every cell for a structured look; Striped alternates row background colours for easy scanning; Plain uses header styling only for a minimal, modern appearance.
Header Colour
Pick from five accent colours — Blue, Green, Violet, Slate, or Rose — to match your brand or report style. The selected colour applies to the header row background and the document title.
Font Size
Adjust cell font size from 6pt to 12pt using the slider. Smaller sizes (6–8pt) fit more columns on one page; larger sizes (10–12pt) improve readability for presentations and printed documents.
Page Numbers
Toggle the automatic page number footer on or off. When enabled, the current page number is printed in the bottom-right corner of every page — useful for multi-page reports.
How to Convert Excel to PDF Online for Free
- 1
Upload your file
Drag and drop your Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV file onto the upload area, or click to browse. Files up to 20 MB are supported. The file is never sent to any server.
- 2
Preview your data
The data preview panel on the right shows your spreadsheet in a scrollable table. If your file has multiple sheets, use the tabs above the preview to switch between them. Use the "Show rows" selector to control how many rows are displayed.
- 3
Choose PDF settings
Set a custom title, choose portrait or landscape orientation, pick a table style, select a header colour, adjust the font size, and toggle the page number footer on or off.
- 4
Click Convert to PDF
The tool generates your PDF entirely in the browser using jsPDF and jsPDF-AutoTable. For multi-sheet workbooks, each sheet is placed on a separate page in the PDF.
- 5
Download the file
The PDF downloads automatically with the name matching your document title (or filename). Click Convert Another to process a new file.
When to Use Excel-to-PDF Conversion
Converting spreadsheets to PDF is a common requirement across many professional contexts. Here are some of the most typical use cases:
Financial reports and invoices
Share profit-and-loss statements, budgets, and invoices as PDFs that can't be accidentally modified. The grid or striped table style gives financial data a clean, professional look.
Data tables for presentations
Embed a clean data table into a slide deck or document by converting the relevant sheet to PDF and inserting the page as an image. The plain theme works well here.
Archiving spreadsheets
PDFs are a better long-term archive format than .xlsx files because they have no software dependencies. A PDF saved today will look exactly the same in 20 years, regardless of changes to spreadsheet software.
Emailing reports to clients
Clients who don't have Excel installed can still read a PDF. It also prevents them from accidentally editing your data or seeing formula references.
Printing formatted tables
PDF ensures your columns and borders print exactly as intended, without the guesswork of Excel's print settings. Use landscape orientation for wide tables.
